Sid - 36,917 steps
17 degrees and no rain!
Last night we had a pilgrims supper near our lodging ...it was pasta and I inhale it! We have wine from the home made cask and Sid and the owner buddy talked about American politics. Quite entertaining!
This morning we had an early start . Some of my photography finesse
Pretty cool...Sid is in the inset thing
We stopped for coffee
Sure tasted good !
I thought this was the prefect umbrella tree
We had a very nice walking day...some of our path
We were very glad to see this church
Which is exactly when we came to know we were on the right path. What am I doing with the guide book anyways? I am quite accustomed to being lost....but I have never led Sid as far astray as our experience yesterday!
We enjoy the forest and the trees and I continue to enjoy Leonard Cohen...
We meet a few more piligrinos on the path today. I talk to two sisters from the Netherlands who are walking from Porto...they were born near Nunspeet where some of Sid's cousins reside. They are not carrying their packs and they were wearing a lot of makeup...pilgrim divas! Mind you...I think it is hard to maintain credibility when telling someone that you lost your passport and ended up 18 km off trail..all in one week...
We get to our destination...and check into our home away from home
But not before we have our very important credentials stamped
