Sao Roque - Pacos 16.04 km. October 17

Ardi - 22,734 steps
Sid - 19,700

18 degrees. No rain

Last evening our guest house was in the middle of no where.  Somebody's cousin came to pick us and 2 German folks up and took us to someplace also in the middle of no where for supper.  Supper was very good - we had vegetable soup, cod and fries and creme brûlée for dessert.  No breakfast was offered so we were on our way before 8 am...the path is mostly rural
The early morning mist
Some Portuguese charm
And more vista
Oh the stories these walls could tell!
We arrive at our lodging very early
This place is owned by Canadians and we are here for 2 nights.  We promptly sent our laundry away!
I contacted the Embassy today...they are waiting for one final approval from Canada.  They know my departure date and could care less about any other inconvenience....And...they only work half days!  The turnaround time is supposed to be 72 hours for a new passport.  We have not been impressed with the level of service offered to us so far

We will have supper tonight cooked by our hosts, we have a great room, we feel amazing, our clothes don't stink anymore, I am reading a good book and enjoying Pinterest heaven!  I think we will get through the next two days just fine!
